Post-Apo Movies Preceding Mad Max ('79)
#1
I'm a big fan of garbage cinema, but too many 80's post-apo movies try to emulate that leather-clad vehicle combat in a sandpit aesthetic.
I managed to dig a couple through the usual clickbait countdown lists, but any suggestions are welcome.

Ones I've found interesting so far are:
The Omega Man (1971)
Wizards (1977) - (I've known this long but never bothered to watch)
Death Sports (1978) - (maybe a tad too Mad Max-esque imo)

Artsy, dystopian and zombie flicks are welcome too. But I've seen everything by Romero and a ton of zombie movies in general.
I've also seen Planet of the Apes movies as well, and Black Moon (1975), and THX 1138 (1971), which a great movie, go watch it now if you haven't seen.

Oh, and this is my first post in the new Suprbay, hello to everyone equally. Big Grin

I checked "No Blade of Grass" trailer earlier today and seemed a bit silly, but probably worth a watch.

But thanks for "Glen and Randa", looks like a movie with great atmosphere. Much appreciated!

"A Boy and His Dog" with a young Don Johnson is a must-see in the genre.
