Pirate Browser - No more censorship!

Don't know that it is worth the effort to download anymore.

It isn't maintained, and is really nothing more than an outdated version of Firefox integrated with Tor. Both of which are still available separately.

The domain has indeed been suspended, and you can read more about it here. As the article states, you may be able to find it at this addy: https://151.80.2.54/

or, you could try piratesnoop:

https://piratesnoop.com/

I've never had to use either myself, but many members who had problems getting piratebrowser to work, often found piratesnoop worked first time.

PirateBrowser was essentially a rebadged version of TorBrowser (with some preconfigured bookmarks).

It's purpose was awareness building, which it achieved. It is now consigned to history.

People should use TorBrowser instead--there are Windows, OS X and Linux versions, multi languages, and it is actively updated (incl. a new version, 5.0.6, just two days ago).

Once you are using TorBrowser, you can use our .onion addresses to reach TPB [ https://uj3wazyk5u4hnvtk.onion ] and SB [ https://suprbayoubiexnmp.onion ]

I have installed TorBrowser but I cannot download from TBP with it.  When I click on a magnet I get a small window saying this:  Tor Browser cannot display this file. You will need to open it with another application.
Some types of files can cause applications to connect to the Internet without using Tor.
To be safe, you should only open downloaded files while offline, or use a Tor Live CD such as Tails

It gives me the option to download the file but when I click on the button nothing downloads. What do I need to do in order to start the transfer?

You need to have a bittorrent client installed and the browser needs to be configured to send magnet links to the bittorrent client. I can't give you specific steps, but they should the same as FireFox. Your client may even be able to do that for you.

I have both Utorrent and Tixati as my bittorrent clients. Normally I have been using Tixati as my default.  Both clients open automatically when using Chrome.  They just don't open with TorBrowser and I see no options in TorBrowser to configure it to send magnet links to a bittorent client.  I even went so far as to instiall a Firefox bittorent addon called Torrent Tornado. It opens a window but then just sits there trying to do step 1 of 3. It almost seems like TorBrowser is prohibiting the download of magnet files.

That is almost correct.

To understand why you first have to understand that there is no such thing as a "magnet file". When you click on a magnet link it doesn't download anything, it launches your torrent client, with a torrent hash as a command line parameter. Your torrent client then downloads the torrent file.

TorBrowser specifically prevents the launch of third party apps as to save naive users [using Tor for it's primary purpose (anonymity) rather than block-busting] from inadvertently starting non-Tor using applications which would expose their real IP addresses.

Effectively it is a false positive in the context in which we would like to use it, but it cannot be overridden.

Just copy the hash/magnet link and paste it into utorrent or Tixati.

That did the trick!  Thank you sir
