[Philidor]

This is where I'll be placing all my uploads. Mostly, they'll consist of very rare classical music, 13th to 17th centuries, or 20th century. The composers are ones you'll never hear from on classical music stations, though their content is every bit as good. Occasionally, I'll place here more familiar classical works, but only in older archival recordings that, despite their sound, are remarkably good thanks to the performers.

You're welcome to make requests. Bear in mind, don't ask for Beethoven's Fifth, much less his greatest hits, because there are many people already doing that, and uploads floating around which serve that need.

From time to time, I'll also be uploading music from other interests of mine: Hungarian etno-folk, jazz (bop, post-bop, modal) and various African pop music (Congolese rumba, Malian griots, Ghanan highlife, Ethiopian jazz). And just in case you're wondering: no, not black. My flat white ass came courtesy on both sides of my ancestral families from the Ukraine. I just like very different musics.

I try for the best possible sound in a lossless (FLAC) format, usually at 768 kBit/s from the original discs. I also include all the text in vocal recordings, typically as pdf files, and a short bio in nearly everything. Since these can't be uploaded under Music as a result, they're all under Audio/FLAC, or Other/Other (the ones with large booklets). But last time I checked, they were still music.

I'll probably upgrade the text visuals of this page, but that's not what I'm concentrating upon at the moment. Instead, there will be a lot more content uploaded here, soon. And album or composers images, too, at some point. I hope you enjoy what I've got to offer--and if you do, drop a comment saying so.
