[PC] Half-Life 1, Steam version

Hi! I've been looking for ages for the Steam version of Half-Life 1 so I can play Cry of Fear. Can anyone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the upload! No, Half-Life 1 isn't free on Steam; they want $10 for it-a stiff price for such an old game.

So far all torrents of Half Life seem to be of version 1.1.1.1 (which is from around 2003), while the Steam version has well passed version 1.1.2.2 
The latest version includes more resolution options, improved renderer, bug fixes and support for newer mods. You can check the version of your game by clicking properties on the HL.exe and going to details. On cracked versions of the game it will probably say 99% of the time that it's version 1.1.1.1, it seems once it was cracked in 2003 or so, no one has bothered to see if the game was updated and has only repackaged the same old version under different torrent names, so you'll get a torrent from 2018 with a wildly outdated version of the game which has limited mod support. So far there have been mods that either don't work properly or don't work at all.

That's all, I'm not owed anything and it is a pretty old game but I thought people might not know the reuploads of HL are outdated. Maybe someone will upload the newest version maybe not. Anyway have a nice day
