Over 8TB of Daz data

Hey all, nice to see there is still a Daz community active here. 

I have over 8TB of faily new (gen2/3/8) daz installation files, which I am currenty sorting out. About 40% was never uploaded anywhere. In addition I have some sources that regulary send me new content, I can also do requests. Now doing a torrent would obviously be impossible, so I am thinking eventually of doing a site like 3d-load and start uploading. That being said, I know the 3d-load owner is active here, if you read this sent me a PM.

But in addition, I think it's time we create some kind of closed trading community where we trade item for item - just like back in the old days. I believe most serious collectors have a list of the SKU's they have in their possession, that would be the easiest way. I got 10 items you want, you have 10 items you want - we trade. 

Let me know if you guys like the idea, then i'll set it up,

I think this is a great idea. I have a couple TB of stored files as well, mostly G3F/G8F stuff. Are you thinking some kind of database or spreadsheet?

I think for the start we can start using spreadsheets, any type of spreadsheet should be sufficient if it includes the SKU. I can then write a script that analyzes that spreadsheet and populates a database. That database can then be uploaded on a burner domain. I should have the domain and plattform done by next week.

I created a discord group for the time being https://discord.gg/dfMDmED - I will be posting more regular updates there, since I am not sure how long this thread will be alive.

By the way, I'd love to upload torrents, however TPB and almost all of the other sites are not accepting new registrations or uploaders.

'back in the day' regarding sharing wasn't private sharing, but rather torrents and KAT was the go-to for content both old and new.

That being said, if you have content not available in the wild, a private sharing group would be something that some of us who share on the better known sharing sites would consider. Already there are a lot of sharers on zone that no longer want their stuff posted to the general blog. It's hurting the site imo. I'd consider joining a private sharing site. I'm somewhat discriminating in what I want and what I buy (like no characters - I can make those myself with all the morphing tools).

If anonymous951 (the 3d-load admin) sees this, he might be able to provide a private group on his site. I'm not too sure he's skilled enough as a web admin to do however.
