Not yet 18. But this really scares me. Opinions?

To cut a long story short. We here in Ireland, once we hit 18Yrs, have to get one of these cards (Our goverment tells us it's optional). Pensions, medical care etc have been withdrawn from people who refused to sign up. Have a read of the link below. Maybe reverse the link to see how the goverment first pitched this. Have fun Smile

Maybe move to another country that doesn't have the silly cards and become a permanent resident. Then create a business back in Ireland and stash your money there like Apple does.

Not an option lol. No money except for the "bank of Dad". But seriously, isn't it scary that what was optional has now become law without anyone knowing about it?

Yes that is very scary, also funny they can't just come out to the public and say this is a new law. Only one conclusion the government is working with the  Dodgy FSB

This story only came to light when a pensioner was refused her pension because she refused to sign up or allow her bio-metrics to be taken.

This whole issue was created for a good reason, nice thing the lady spoke because now the government has to hassle with the public. Time for the PR department to come in and clarify. Up to the representatives to boot the law.

Yeah it's an "come get me" for anyone who hacks (  :/  ). The amount of info and the level of access for this card is mind boggling. There's a number of those cards in my home. Part of me hopes they get breached so the owners can sue the shit out of the goverment who told us these things were optional.

I'm not old enough to own one. But i can advise those in my family who do have one Wink

If you want peace sometimes you gotta break the bank (of dad). Moving to US to study might be an option to pursue...
