Norway: Multivariant of virus discovered in Trondheim
#1
Municipal chief physician Tove Røsstad says that a new mutation has been discovered in Trondheim.

It is a multivariant of the COVID-19 virus that has some elements from the Brazilian variant, from the British variant and the South African variant.

The municipality was recently informed that this multivariant had been proven.

Dr. Røsstad said that her staff were told of this after the person in question had finished his isolation period. The patient came from abroad and tested positive at the border. There has been no further spread, she assures.
