No Music in Half-Life!
#1
I can't get the music to work. Sound and everything else works but no music. If I leave the image mounted in the drive it still doesn't work, even if it's my only drive (I've read the disc has to be in the first drive for the music to work, but the music still doesn't work). I can't play the image as a music CD either, if I open it in Winamp it just plays a track about 42 minutes long and it's just silence. Does anyone know what to do? Apparently the music is amazing and I'd love to get this to work. Feel free to ask anything that will help you help me.

Cheers.

How large is the image? Sometimes the audio on a mounted audio-cd image wont playback properly on a computer. And for all my years playing Half Life, I have barely heard much music Tongue

games like Quake 1 and 2 have musci tho

Hi and thanks for responding.

But the thing is I haven't heard ANY music, isn't there at least menu music? There's even a soundtrack for the game.

My image is 3XXMB, I can't remember exactly. 380MB? I could find out for you if you like but I'll need time. It was roughly what I said though.

Really keen to get this working. Do you think it was the download itself that wasn't good? It seems like a good rip. If you believe this to be the issue do you know of an upload that is good?

There is no menu music at all. Most of the music is momentarily (suprise attacks and stuff like that) so even if yuou could hear it, it would be 1 minute tops

Okay, but I haven't heard one tune at all. I'm past the halfway mark in the game and figured if I haven't heard any music something must be wrong.

I've read people can play their game CD like a music CD, so it'll play a whole bunch of songs from the game. But I can't play my image like a music CD, if I ever try to nothing is there, except in Winamp, which plays a long track of static. I don't know what to do!
