Minecraft hell

Anyone know where i can find a minecraft that works, its for my 6 year old i have downloaded that many now that all say they work but none of them do. I always get the same error..."we think your game is modded" Dont wana go out and buy if she will be sick of it after an hour!!!

baically i went on the pirate bay and tried out basically from 1.7.2 - 1.12.2 all the same problem. game installs etc then i get the using mod error

I believe 1.12.2 is the latest. Also do you have java installed because I tried one recently and I had to install Java.

Just a warning, but the new 1.13.2 set off my AVG for "Win32ownloader-WHL [Trj]" so it is a Trojan likely. Anyone willing to install it on a quarantined emulated machine to see what is going on with it?

I will update when I find one that works. I had installed one that was 1.8, but couldn't start the game although realize I was opening later versions. I have a few I am tryin to test now

Edit: It seems all the auto [full install] are the same Trojans.... It might just be the crack they use as it comes up at 1 level severity I am just worried about trying to install it.

Edit 2: Avoid the 25 MB ones and look for ones closer to 150-250 MB. I found a 1.11.2 [official hawk] and 1.12.2 from team extreme. I bet those will work although the new update 1.13.2 just came out so I don't know if they will actually work or not.

Edit 3: well 1.12.2 crashed trying to stat game from launcher so I do not know if it will work or not. It could be my computer specs.
