Just doing my cursory bad film research and learned something new about this one. I knew that the 2nd plot was just footage lifted and edited from the director's previous film. But I did not know that the opening segment the boy is watching on TV was actually the START of that same movie. Interesting.

Some people get crabby about the double-dipping but here they used a lot more of the film and the overlap is minimal.

...oh yeah, and this is one of the funnier ones of the year.

sure thing. I, for one, I greatly prefer the dark ending to the original with the whole family getting massacred rather than being rescued by Merlin
