First and foremost, I do not if this subject is in the right area of inquiry so I apologize in advance if this post is misplaced.
Now my real question is this. I am coming into the possession of a Playstation 2 and was wondering how I turn PS2 game files into discs that can be played on the system itself. Also, please be aware that I am not too familiar with everything so some in depth description is required. Thank you to whomever can help!

Before you do anything, you must know if your PS2 is modified. If that is so, then all else follows.

Modified? Ok...since I do not know how to modify it I am going to guess that it is not. So if I wanted to modify how so I go about to do it? Again, will need specifics. If I need to be an engineer for it than it may be that it won't be happening so if the details are beyond me I will definitely be lost in the whole matter.

To the best of my knowledge, you actually have to buy the Swapmagic disc from their site. I am not affiliated with the company, and I am not a customer, so I can't really speak for that.
Sorry.
EDIT: I think I should explain more clearly about Swap Magic Boot Discs than I just did.
Swap Magic boot discs are actual stamped discs that are not burned by an optical (i.e. CD-R and DVD-R) drive. They are so coded to find an exploit in the PS2 system hardware that would force/trick them into booting a burnt game (called "backups," remember that) and playing it. It puts all constraints built-in by the PS2 to sleep for the time you boot the swap disc.
A mod chip is permanently invisible to the protection, but I imagine that you would want a cheaper alternative like Swap Magic so I won't bore you with the details of the mod chip although that's what I use and what I consider better.

So basically, I need to find an actual swapmagic disk and until then I might just consider trying to get a hold of actual ps2 games before I can burn them. Well, thanks for the help and the info...guess I got of searching to do.

You still need to buy a third party device.

Well, since I seem to be the only human being who does not know what they are doing I will just go out and buy the games. Pretty cheap anyways since the PS2 seems to be becoming the equal of an Atari. Thank you for the help but it seems that no matter what I do I still need a Swapmagic disk that is somewhere out there and no manner of inquiry of mine could find. Again thanks.
