Mac streaming question

Recently have had an issue with some downloads playing and streaming fine on my Mac to my Apple TV. But others just sit and spin and don't play. Thought it might be copy protection but then why would it play on my Mac? This happened recently with Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Little Women.
Thoughts?

Based on what little information you provided, it is likely whatever you are using to play it back on your computer supports whatever codecs are used in the file while the Apple TV does not.
