M$ Works .wbd - .csv - .xls?

Hello,

another question r.e. exporting M$ Works .wbd files.

Does anyone know if this fix will work. Here's the issue. 3 comps. on a network. 2 = xp and 1 = Win 7.
The 2 running xp are still using M$ works and saving files in the .wbd format. The 1 running 7 is using office/excel.

If i save all the .wbd files as .csv. Then install open office on both of those machines. Then open/save the .csv files as .xls files. Will the 2 xp machines be able to transfer files between open office spreadsheet and the Win 7 running office/excel. And vice versa?

You can skip the Open Office step, as Excel can import/export csv natively.
