Just thinkin'

Would it be a good, or bad idea to have trailers for the movie that you're looking to download? Say it has a sample. Could that sample be dropped somwhere, and the file become available to those that hit the Play button? Or is this too much hassle? I'm assuming you'd only let video sites you know to display content. I know there's links to them on IMDB, but their trailers versus the trash that's out there, makes you wonder how it ever survives....aHem! 1XBET! aHem! wankers-cof, coff! Wink
Just be nice to see the file first as a streaming video, the sample, if it's available, instead of downloading it first as a barely viewable waste of time.
Anyways, that's just a thought.

That already exist to some extent in the form of samples, but trailers are another source material and thus the resulting encoding wouldn't make justice to the movie encode itself. A few uploaders include the trailer, it's just not common practice.

Play button? Preview mode is available on some torrent clients and VLC media player, but that isn't part of torrent sites, they work on offering torrents, not content. Torrent protocol doesn't include the preview feature, it may be done by the client app and each deal with it their way.
