Sorry - what does "phone gap" mean?

it's safe so long as you have a subscription.

in order to use the phonegap, you have to allow a connection to adobe's 'creative cloud' since adobe will build the program for you after you provide the instructions. assuming you are using a pirated copy, you have blocked it's outgoing connections and therefore it's not possible.

i could be wrong about this, however. i haven't tried to connect to their web services myself with a pirated copy.
