Where I live, I think buying bottled water is a waste of money. There are plenty of people in the area who buy it anyway. I guess they think it is better than tap water. Are you one of those people? Take the poll.

Tap water has better warmth and the vocals sound richer.

I think it is... It's (to me) a gimmicky thing people do... Like drinking their coffee from Starbucks...
A lot of people do it though... I live in a where the city provides treated water, I drink it no problem. I can see if one is more conscious of controlling what they put in their body I can see them saying they buy water since they would think it's "cleaner". Never had well water so I can't speak on that.
I can see having a case or so. city purges the lines and you get all the grime... Either that or in cases of emergencies... But a daily practice for everyday life? I personally don't do it. More power to the ones that do though...

Around here tap water varies greatly, from a public menace to reasonably filthy. On most of the country water treatment is inexistent or negligible but bottled water companies are as bad and supposedly good products are expensive. So, why pay for it?

In my household, we use tap water, but we boil it before drinking.

Well, I let the heat cool-off before drinking, of course.
EDIT: The point is, the bacteria would be killed-off before consumption.

I know that some people don't like tap water but the water where I am isn't all that bad actually. I think that buying it from the supermarket is fine really just as long as you aren't paying too much. Working it out per bottle I think is sensible. Depends how well off you are if money is no contest then by all means go ahead and buy whatever you want, the luxury of having a lot of money in life.

A waste if it is not cold otherwise.
