InDesign CS6
#1
Hi All,
I recently installed InDesign CS6 and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, when I open the application many of the buttons do not work. Such as, I cannot change the font size with the ribbon at the top of the page. Also, I can select the "swatch" tab, but then cannot select any of the colors. This is an issue with a vast majority of the buttons. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Your time is VERY much appreciated,
DG

What method did you use to "crack" the software? It sounds like you used the replacing of the amtlib.dll files but didn't enable all the functions before patching.

Thank you Nelly for the response. I did in fact used the amtlib.dll file method. I should uninstall and reinstall then I suppose. How do I go about enabling all of the functions correctly this time?

Aloha,

If you have a link to the torrent of Indesign CS6 you used i may have the original amtlib.dll files which will save you a lot of time and effort with a uninstall/install?

I received the files from a friend, I am not sure which file the originally torrented. I do have the dll files, but I don't suppose they would be of any help?

OK. "Friends" are good to a point. Then when it doesn't work they become "assholes" lol. Give me an hour and i'll get you sorted if that's OK?

So it's CS6 and NOT CC that you want/need?

Gimme an hour and hopefully i'll have you sorted. Back up ALL YOUR WORK before you try to implement what i post ok Wink

Back up all your work externally first as REVO will search all connected drives for anything ADOBE related!

1. Download REVO Portable from HERE and put it on your desktop.
2. Download Adobe Tool v3.7 from HERE.
3. Download Adobe InDesign CS6 from HERE.

4. Disable your Network Adapters.
5. Run REVO.
6. Go to

Tools/Options/Uninstaller

7. Un-tick everything other than the last 7 days.
8. Un-install your current version of CS6.
9. Choose advanced, scan and delete all leftovers.
10. Re-boot.
11. Run Adobe Tool.
12. Patch your HOSTS file, (Minimize, don't close Adobe Tool).
13. Install InDesign as a trial (TRY).
14. When asked "sign In", click on "Sign In". Then when it fails, choose "Sign In Later".
15. Once installed. Close Adobe InDesign CS6.
16. Open InDesign CS6 and utilize (Run/Use) ALL functions to "release" them from the trial restrictions.
17. Close InDesign CS6.
18. Return to Adobe Tool and click on patch your amtlib.dll files.
19. When it goes from pink to green your patched and good to go.
20. Re-boot and Re-Enable your network adapters.

JOB DONE!

Hey! I've been working through this and when I begin the uninstall process with REVO, it informs me that my Illustrator CS6 and my InDesign CS6 share file locations and there could be deletion overlap? Is this likely the source of my problem to begin with? Is there any way around this?

Aloha!

I downloaded (several times) the InDesign CS6 portable uploaded by cybergon, but it doesn't work. I want the portable so I don't have to install anything. I downloaded both the compressed and the bigger file.
