How to ... No-CD crack?
#1
Hi,

I have installed an old PC game called: In the line of duty - Firefighter from 2000 which is only 119 MB big (after installation).

After running "ILDFirefighter.exe" I get the following error message (even after setting up compatibility mode and running as admin):

The game is not good enough to justify a lot of effort, but just out of couriosity, .. is there an easy way to circumvent the CD check?

I already looked but there doesn't seem to be a No-CD crack existing.
Thanks

Well, back in the day when CDcheck protections are young, there were several burning programs that would burn the image such that the CD checks protection would be nullified. That way, you'd get a burn that is worthy of being called a true clone of the orignal.

Blindwrite, CloneCD, and Alcohol 120% are such programs.

Other than that, just put the no CD crack to the install directory and change the name such that it replaces the orignal file. I know it's different for you, but, to me, it's just good enough.

Anyhow, good luck.

Hi Robert, I was trying to avoid having to burn a CD, although I believe that would work.
In regard to a No-CD crack, as far as I can see, there is none existing.

Yeah, I tried looking for it and couldn't find it either.

I'll keep looking for it.
