I know it's cams and I've got no reason to complain because it's a free movie. But Top Gun is movie made in the old cinematic epic style and if I could afford the $22 for a movie ticket I would totally go and see it on the big screen.
Well there are small movie theaters I could go see it in for less money but a movie like this should really be enjoyed on one of those giant silver screens from the 20th century.
So I'm hoping to download the movie and watch it now then in a couple of years see it for $5 at the discount theater.

It's quite interesting and what I believe, when it comes to a new movie is whether it has a good movie soundtrack. I believe it can make the movie special if the music is right and gets people's attention. I always thought that the Star Wars movies had good music and it went well with each one as they were all different. Even though Top Gun has been waiting a while for the sequel to arrive it won't top the length of time that Mary Poppins took to produce a sequel which I believe was about 54 years and it is a guinness world record holder for the longest time between 1 movie and a follow up.
I'm sure the soundtrack to Top Gun 2 is great and the more you hear it the more it will appeal to a lot of people. I remember the original Top Gun soundtrack was actually the very first CD disc that I heard on a fairly small Sony Ghetto Blaster that my friend's mum had bought him for his birthday. It was good to hear for the first time a nice digital audio and made a difference from all the tapes that we had back in those days with the hiss in the background.
I can guarantee that there will be multiple releases of the said movie in torrent form. I would imagine that most of them will be overcompressed rubbish but I guess that's what the piracy scene is these days. People think 4K is fairly small they should all actually copy a disc and find out the real size and then get a shock.

I just watched the 1st Top gun and the soundtrack was pretty good. I downloaded the soundtrack for the new movie and it's not that great.

Being female this is probably going to sound terrible but one of the reasons I like the old Top Gun is because there's no women pilots. It's the same reason I'm not enjoying Star Trek Strange New Worlds or the recent Star Wars movies. I like seeing men doing man things and traditional masculinity.
Give me *Yippee Ki Yay, motherfucker," "Never Tell Me the Odds," "I feel the need.. The need for speed," and a Captain Kirk drop kick instead of South Park's Strong Woman garbage. I want the cowboy that beats the bad guys in order to save the girl so he can ride off into the sunset with her.

lol fair enough. I just can't stand tom cruise. Maybe back in the day I sensed something off with him. Now it turns out he's the face of a massive cult. I guess we're pirating his stuff so it shouldn't matter.

Tom Cruise is short! I want to see leading men (especially action heroes) that are over 6ft and look like they can throw a car 50 ft. They also shouldn't be too good looking or say any of this woke stuff.
As for Scientology I really don't have an opinion because I'm studying Islam. It's looking like I'm probably going to become Muslim and there are a lot of people already warning me about goat sex and suicide bombers. Only every Muslim that I've met has been super supportive. There are people at my local masjid that care about me more than my own family ever did.
So maybe Scientology is doing that for other people and Tom Cruise is just their most popular face?

To OP: I hope not... whatever. Just watched the movie and must say, imo, story is worse-than-McDonald's-class synthetic cheese, acting is, well, Tom Cruise... on a lazy, old, and covid-concerned era.
There's nothing I liked on that movie, and the "death star bomb run" mission was just freaking nauseating. And there's also he pulling Mach 10 and 10 G curves. Not cool, Tom, not cool.
Rather watch Kojac.

They should have made the movie with Drew Mciintyre of the WWE. He could fly into hell and be forced to land his plane on an enemy base. Then he takes off his shirt and beats the crap out of all the bad guys.
