Oh well... Count down to Thanksgiving.
I'm glad it doesn't effect me.

I'm really not much of a Halloween celebrater. I just don't really take any interest in it. It's a bit too much the kind of thing that kids do for me. If somebody was knocking on the door I probably wouldn't answer it as I'm never really in any kind of Halloween mood or anything at all. I would rather just watch a movie instead could always watch a few Michael Myers movies now they are good, I liked the 4th one and before that and the latest one was pretty good I'm sure there's another coming soon.

You're not a parent

That is correct. Maybe if I was a parent then I might think differently and be more open to things like Halloween. I can understand though about the Virus, if people don't want to participate then you would expect that.

I think the politics and the cowardice are far more deadly than the virus. It's bad enough the current situation is seriously screwing with the minds of children but canceling Halloween on them is like pouring liquid fear down their throats.

Going door to door and receiving candy from every house is a recipe for quick spread of the virus. Noone is preventing you from throwing a halloween party for your kids and their friends. Also, fear mongering or not, kids should be aware of the risks just like you tell your kids not to touch a hot stove or talk to random strangers.

I've only heard of door-to-door tricking and treating being called off in LA. As far as I know, it's still on in most places.
It makes sense to limit contact in areas where the idiots still refuse to wear masks and social distance, but in communities that keep their numbers down, it should be relatively risk free.

I live in an apartment, and this apartment dwelling doesn't allow door-to-door distractions.
Like most Halloweens, I just prefer to be left alone.

Halloween wasn't a thing in denmark until the late 90ties earliest. I guess the supermarkets and toy stores realized it was profitable. The trick or treating is actually a germanic/scandinavian thing we do around the end of winter.
