Google Chrome "Find" or Ctrl-F not working/appearing...
#1
[This is Google Chrome Version 38.0.2125.24 beta-m on my 32-bit PC. I have the same version on my 64-bit laptop with no problem. Both PCs are Windows 7 Ultimate]

This is just weird. I can either do Ctrl-F or go to settings and click on "Find". In either case, "Find" does not appear. It does not seem to matter which web page. I tried restarting Chrome, rebooting PC, etc. My next try is reinstalling Chrome.

I tried Google searching this and could not find a relevant article about "Find" not appearing [and plenty about everything else].

its probably cause your using the beta version
get the latest stable version from here: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/

I may try that. But, I have the same beta on my laptop and it is working fine.

EDIT: I had to do a thorough uninstall of Chrome. I installed the final version on my 32-bit desktop even thought the beta is working on my 64-bit laptop. After a reinstall, the "Find" feature finally worked.

[Again] Same problem. Again, no idea why? I'm not using the beta this time.

Its possible that ctrl-f is bound to another operation on that machine. another piece of software may be the culprit.

try turning off hardware acceleration

go to menu > settings
scroll to the bottom and choose "show advanced settings.."
Scroll to the bottom again and untick
