Game Refuses To Save?

I downloaded Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe. It is a steam rip, and when I would make progress, it would cause the game to stutter. So as per someones suggestion, I moved to to an alternate hard drive, they said it would fix the stutter. And it did! However, it no longer saves. Ever xD I am always back to the beginning when I fire it back up. Any tips on this?

perhaps after saving to the external drive, you can copy the saved game to your local saved games location and go from there...
