Funhaus - Theater Mode S01 currently watchable without subscription
#1
Since I see a ton of other riffing-like things posted here, I figured there might be someone else interested in this.

Currently, the 8 episodes of 'Season 1' of these guys' riff/commentary/etc movie-viewings are able to be watched without the paid subscription to their parent site.  I guess it's been like this all week, but I -just- found out :/

https://roosterteeth.com/series/funhaus-...eater-mode

I've been a fan of their game-playing/movie review/etc videos for a while (they used to be known as 'Inside Gaming'), along with their brand of humor...and since they're way closer to my age than the average YouTube kiddies that call Playstation 2 games 'retro', I find them much more watchable.

Anyway, like I said, since these are riff-ish type things with some bad/goofy movies, someone might dig them too.

...if someone feels like ripping and posting the episodes, that'd be cool too. Tongue

Oh, lord. I gave up watching Funhaus a year and a half ago. I'm kind of tempted to watch this for Adam, Bruce, James and Elise. Not sure about some of these other yahoos. Or Lawrence.

The episodes are easily downloaded, so I'm getting them all right now. I'll try to upload them sometime reasonably soon.

Here you go... A full folder of 1080p downloads.

If anyone here has interest in video games, especially let's play-style comedic commentary, I would 1000x recommend Funhaus.  To me it's the funniest youtube channel of its kind going, at least among ones that upload very regularly.  I've watched a lot of gaming channels on youtube over the years but Funhaus is pretty much the only one I still watch on a semi-daily basis.

I would recommend their Hitman: Blood Money gameplays or just start watching the Demo Disk episodes chronologically.  Also, imo, their Open Haus's and Comment Section response shows are almost always fucking hilarious too.  And, maybe ironically considering this specific thread, I should say I don't tend to find their live-action, more sketch comedy-type stuff very funny.  I did watch the 'Cucks' short they just put up on youtube though and thought it was pretty good.

Anyway, yay Funhaus!

Edit: Wow I had no idea that Theater Mode is movie riffing lol so I'm super interested in that.

I downloaded one, and then I was out. The bunch seems kind of talented, but there are a couple of issues:

1) Having the guys down in the corner, facing forward, non-silhouetted, is kind of distracting. It's a shame, because technically it's very well-executed. It was just hard for me to watch.

2) They don't autoduck the movie audio; instead they just leave it cranked way down while they chat away. It's kind of hard to enjoy jokes if you don't know to what they are referring.

Overall, it wasn't so much fun as it was watching someone ELSE have fun.

Still, everyone's taste is different, and much thanks is due to the poster.

Thanks for that. It'll be better than having to watch them play the game.

Hi

Thanks for the recommendation. It was fun watching their game-plays. And their Hitman: Blood Money series is really amazing.

For other gaming review YouTube sites I rather enjoy Cinemassacre's Angry Gaming Nerd.  It is rather juvinille in its humor...most of the time, but sometimes lowest common denominator humor can be funny.

The Board James section that was a review of 70-80's board games was really good.

Can someone put up Dr. Hackenstein again? And with a better one? The one I downloaded seem to have a part cut out of it.
