FLU the illness
#1
I keep catching Flu / colds/ chills off a relatives young kids, i go to babysit once or twice a month ( unpaid) for a couple of days so my relative can do a bit of work. Clearly i am not immune to Flu etc

i come home ill 95% of the time ( ill for average of 10days to 14 days each time) and this has gone on for a couple of years now !   recently my inlaw whose kids i look after said its my fault that i keep getting ill !  somehow i decided not to punch him out

now he is into fitness and rarely gets ill, he has a good athletic fitness level, still saying its my fault for catching flu off his kids is really annoying to me, what do you think ? is it my fault ? am i supposed to be immune to Flu like he somehow is ??

why are in laws such dicks ?

I. I think his kids are getting the flu from school, and maybe his kids are not keeping their hands clean, and sticking them places that are heavily germ infested. His ability to avoid getting sick probably stems from the fact that he does not spend time around them.
II. This is not your fault, just trying to help someone.
III. I don't think you are supposed to be immune, but you can take preventative steps.
IV. They are "dicks" because they have no real relation or personal connection to you.

Simple solution, stop babysitting the kids. Complaining in a forum doesn't have health benefits. Although it's amusing for the rest of us.

PS: Flu the Illness would be a cool rap name. Record a mixtape and leak it on TPB then maybe you can afford to pay someone else to wipe kids' noses.

Maybe OP has a lousy immune system.

Maybe OP doesn't come into contact with that many people and hasn't developed an army of antibodies.

Maybe OP needs to stop sucking doorknobs.

Children are covered in disease. If you spend a lot of time around them, you either develop a strong immune system or suffer a lot.

Just adding that fruit has some good nutrients that should not be left out from your diet.

I read somewhere that the flu vaccines were not as effective this year which won't make things better.
At work I usually wipe down everything with sanitizing wipes to help prevent getting sick. I'm not sure if you can really do that for babysitting.
Limit eating and drinking when around kids and you may want to shower and change clothes often.

It's possible that you might be allergic to something at their house. I once had a friend who was pretty much allergic to everything and would be sick frequently and sometimes for weeks after visiting.

My Exwife works in the heath care field. She said the hospital is packed with flu and pneumonia suffers...

The flu shot only protects against a few certain strains of the flu. You can still get a different variation. I was sick about a month ago with a general cold... That crap lasted 3 weeks.

eating right, exercise will maybe lessen your chances, but it's all luck of the draw... If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Hand washing and staying away from sick people will probably be your best bet...Good luck staying well... to ALL of us.
