EFnet Help Please?

Hi all,

I'm having an issue trying to connect to #thepiratebay.org since yesterday. I've posted the message i keep getting below.
Any help with resolving this issue would be really appreciated.

That doesn't really say anything. There could be a problem with whatever web site is hosting the chat client. There could be a problem with whichever of the 40+ efnet hosts you were trying to connect to. There could be a network problem somewhere in between.

Given the amount of time you spend on IRC, you should really consider getting a dedicated client.

The mIRC forum is always handy for future troubleshooting, but if you get stuck, you should ask on the chans, plenty of people will help you out.

Also, if you're getting mIRC (my client as well), you should definitely get yourself a bnc:

Go to the 'tools' menu at the top and select 'options'. Then highlight 'servers' under 'connect', and select 'efnet' and hit 'select' then join the channel. You are on the wrong server.

Alternatively go to 'file' at the top and then 'select server' to do the same thing.
