Drawing by Hand vs. Drawing by Computer Rendering

What do you prefer doing when making a work of art: do you draw by hand or do you draw by way of 3D-Rendering Software like 3D Studio and Photoshop?

Also, if you do rendering, would you draw the picture first by hand or did you leave that behind completely by just using computer software.

Me, I used to like drawing by hand, even though I haven't drawn anything in a long time.

I started hating art in grade 11 because the courses were centre on hard work instead of just art. I never took subsequent courses.

Another reason why I shy away from drawing is that my hand gets tired and I get frustrated when the picture required multiple layers. I guess this is where computer software comes into play.

Still I still think it's necessary to draw things out by hand before digitising the work on the computer. That way, you get a picture of how well the computer touches up on the artwork.

I do freelance work online, and i work 100% digitally, At this time i only have an drawing tablet, but i'm conidering getting a drawing display.
Drawing displays are as close as it gets to a real drawing experience.
I also own an android tablet with an stylus, but i dont use it for work most of the time because the hardware isn't that good.

It took me a month or two to get good with the drawing tablet, but my android tablet which is basically a drawing display I got used to it in mere hours.

If you don't like layers, just don't use them, i only use multiple layers for the rendering and finishing the lineart. I do all my sketches and sometimes even the lineart in the same layer.

Here's a good general tip for digital art: Don't zoom in a lot, try to have your entire work visible at all times, it is annoying at first but it will also save you from overdetailing it.

I use photoshop, and since I'm in this forum you can guess how much i payed for it.
