Downloading help

Smile Hello.
Ive never been the smartest when it comes to computers, so Ive been fortunate to be living in the UK when downloading from TPB etc. But a few years ago when they started blocking direct access to the sites I decided I may want to "give it up and go legit" Smile I found it hard and in the end went from tweaking the settings in Utorrent, following advice from a forum post I found while Googling, to using a software called TrafficPrivacy.
Traffic were reviewed once in Torrent Freak and had described its software as being for idiots who just want to watch films. "thats me", I thought Smile I have used it on and off since and the only issue I have with it is its "safety", as TF never review it in the "How serious do they take our Privacy" lists and they dont always reply when you have a problem. Theres also the fact that their Facebook page is like a ghost town, it all just makes me wonder if anyone is still involved in "protecting" my privacy at their end.
The thing that got my attention about TP was that it stated that while downloading through a VPN it could disconnect and your download would continue "unhidden", as I downloaded during the night this was a concern to me and as, TP stated they had created software to stop this happening it sealed the deal for me.
So basically I was wondering if this is still an issue (Im going back 2 years with TP being first used) as often when VPN's are reviewed its never mentioned whether the download will stop or continue should the connection break. Does anyone know if there is a VPN, free or otherwise, that wouldnt keep downlading if my torrent became viewable to my ISP ?
Thanks in advance Smile

It is not up to the VPN to determine whether your torrent client stops when the connection fails, it is up to how you have configured your firewall. The best resource that I found to explain some of this is http://practicalrambler.blogspot.de/2011...s-use.html

Give that a read and see if it helps.

Vuze has native ability to bond to a specific interface, like that created by a VPN. So when the VPN goes offline, it will just do nothing until it comes back.
