Download utube vids?

Is there a simple way to download vids from utube? I mean dl as a separate, standalone file, a file I can edit and play as I wish? I have been trying to find this but cannot. Any help appreciated.

Yeah you can use online downloaders, or there are a few apps but I find these to be hit or miss. What video? If you post the link I'll see if I can grab it.

I mostly use ClipGrab for this.  Have also used Easy Youtube downloader, but it doesn't work for some videos.

I use Streamfab and can DL from most streaming sites (including free ones like Tubi and Pluto) as well as YouTube. It's pricy for the real version but it's possible that there is a torrent with a crack
