Most people voted against him, by a 3 million vote margin.
Does anyone have the balls to support Trump at this point?

I thought it was a big gap, but I didn't bother to look it up until you made that statement: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/201...vote-ones/ ...Trump’s share of the popular vote, in fact, was the seventh-smallest winning percentage since 1828,... When this first started, I HATED Trump, and I didn't want him to win. But as the campaign went on, I hated Hillary more, and I thought Trump was acting to get votes; that if/when he was elected he would change. He's still my president and I'm hoping things will change... Logically, I don't see it. If there is a change it will be for the worse. He's become more of a dangerous joke than Bush II ever was (something I thought I'd never say in my lifetime). I think if he didn't have the ego, he'd be OK. All presidents are screwed up, he makes no bones about it... As evil as Hillary is, at least she would act more like a refined politician... In this day and age, perception is just about everything. I've never been happy, or backed him. But again, I believed he was the lesser of 2 evils, and we knew what we got with him. Unfortunately what we got is a pompous and incompetent asshole.

I've seen you in that so lame thread and didn't mention it for you, but for other readers, keeping the post useful. This and other posts aren't long and they do say something - I know you're not ignorant, pre-knowledge is expected and saves pages. So, trying to stay on topic and avoid lenghty discussions, I'll translate what seems to me you failed to understand: The problem is not Trump, but the system. Search/think about the unspoken words. If I've to explain the fundamentals of everything I say, it will be more than ten pages! (Feb 16, 2018, 21:21 pm)LZA Wrote: In this day and age, perception is just about everything. Just my point, people compare things; relative value of options when presented in a closed group will be very different when compared to all possibilities. In USA you have two parties (but allow for independent candidates) and on other countries there're usually more. Yet the same effect occurs. And most presidents I've seen are either pompous, incompetent, assholes or all. So the thing is what they do, where the staff and Congress matter. Looks like people will back Trump because mass psychology is still in effect and individual latency is a damn... Changes take time. People are stubborn. In the end, people see the damage as done and the fix too difficult, it will not gonna happen. (Feb 16, 2018, 20:24 pm)ill88eagle Wrote: A democratic nation get the leaders they deserve. You can't elect a buffoon and then complain about it afterwards. 1. True, although I don't know what I did to deserve it here south. I'm forced to live with others' acting and consequences, the problem with democracy is majority. Too simple a system. That, and the fact one doesn't need to do anything right once they get where they want. Governments are like unnacountable. 2. Uh, the buffons elected their king then they can act as buffons afterward? All in all, it can be seem like that. People know they don't need to vote; if they don't like the candidates, just don't pick one to avoid the not-so-much-worse. I guess yes, people can complain, protest, demand, raise...

Here's how I see it. Trump is doing ok. The world didn't end. The U.S. is still a free country. People hate him. People hated Obama. We'll have a new president in a couple years. Or maybe six, whatever. So far no one is in a concentration camp. No one is being mass murdered, so just wait it out if you don't like him, and shut the fuck up. Your turn will come. And when people bitch about the one you like, then you will be able to shout some more nonsense. Until then, bring up real policy issues, and not paranoid accusations please. Thank you.

I'll say it again, as much of a chump as Trump is making himself out to be, Hillary would have been worse...
I guess the biggest issue I have is the perception of the world about us. We all pretty much know that nuclear war is not going to happen... So all we have is the perception of how strong we are... Bush II started to tarnish our armor by not dominating the Iraq war (but really before that, Vietnam showed the world we are as strong as we look). Trump is continuing that by making everyone else think we are stupid by letting a fool run things... Hate or Love Obama, he started to replace faith in intelligent leaders by presenting himself the way he did... Since most of all countries are pretty much neutralized as far as power, it becomes a costume party... We were the greatest because we appeared to be the greatest. Instead, we have our powers that be stole $$ from the Haiti relief fund, but then we call them a shithole? Makes us look like full of shit assholes... REGARDLESS of who's in charge.

It came to the point troops were sent without being told to clean their rifles even if evaluation tests showed otherwise; officials contrary to rushing it or issuing negative reports were removed from key positions or batantly ignored. Someone wanted it whatever the cost and outcome. Mid war, when rifles were breaking and failling too much, it was found out that oil and brushes to clean those rifles weren't even provided by the Army! So, did the US intended to win in the first place, or just let those boys die with broken M16's in hand? AFAIK, Iraq was pretty much of the same circus, just without the absurd reckless logistics. About Haiti I don't know, but what you say makes much sense for me. There was an international force in Haiti and months after they going there, one general from here suicided, much before his term. Our army never commented. Then it is a masked ball like you said, just for the guests to drink champagne and steal the silverware.

Federal indictments are easy as pie to get. The Assistant US attorney presents his side of the evidence and that's it. No facts are needed or proof.
