Do not understand- HTTPS at TPB ?
#1
Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this ? but here I go...

I had ask several ?? in the past in regard security and encrypion recieving exelent help/info. So today I did Register at TPB, was under the impression that if I do it at forums (here) then there wlould be no need to do it at TPB. Anyhow, I notice that here (Forums) it is an HTTPS (secure/encrypted) connection so when I did Register at TPB and confirmed I did notice (and it also said it at main page) that it was also HTTPS just like here... Well, after one ? I posted at TPB, log out, later back in... it change into HTTP only (did log out and back, to see if...) also TPB became very slow to respond. 1st time at main page (TPB) it said that I have an ecrypted connection and now is not and slow ???

Also everytime immediately after I log in it takes me to Preferences, why ?

Did I did something wrong during Registration ?

Will anyone be so kind take a look and explain me what is heppening, please ?

Sorry for any typo errors, Enlish is not my 1st language.

Thanks

Suprbay and TPB are two independently operated sites.

Suprbay is configured to only serve pages using https.

TPB can be accessed either way. Pay attention to the links you click. Some may be specific http or https. Most internal links should preserve protocol, but links from external sources won't.

Download speeds will fluctuate depending on server load and other network conditions. Just because it is fast at one moment doesn't guarantee it will stay that way.

TPB login will always send you to the preferences page. Nothing to explain there. It is just the way it is designed.
