DVD Ripped movies?
#1
How do uploaders reduce them down so much? I've seen movies 600mb and not exceeding 3gb, even the 2 hour movies, but the files I have are 3-5gb despite movie length.

I used MakeMKV for the ripping and Handbrake for reducing the size of it. Handbrake took 4 hours to do this with really no effect on the tested movies size. Am I not using it right, is it the movie or are uploaders just not using one of these two programs? Thanks.

I recommend Aiseesoft DVD Ripper rip dvds at least 480p(720x480p)
or upscale/upconvert them to 540p 960x540p or if you want 720p or 1080p

http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tool...inum.shtml

a 1 1/2 hour DVD movie takes about 34 mins to rip as mp4 540p 25fps 10,000 kbps video bitrate 192 kbps audio bitrate providing a 2.2 to 2.5 gb file

it all depends on :the software you use,the quality you wish to rip, length of the movie, the speed of your pc(the cpu video card dvd rom speed etc)

I rip with Aiseesoft with AMD APP acceleration

Don't forget to use a protections remover like AnyDVD if you want to rip a DVD.
