DEFRAG. OPTIONS

Hi, i have two programs installed that perform defrag. PERFECT DISK performs a "smart placement" action. SYSTEM MECHANIC does not like this, and suggests to perform "misaligned files action" on 59GB. When perfect disk is complete it shows all files in a complete block. System mechanic however shows files all over the place! I'm not sure which is best for computer performance, and any comments/suggestions are most welcome. Idea

Remove the 2 you mentioned and try Defraggler Big Grin

Let Windows handle your defragulaton, seriously its not something you should be giving any thought too.

^ That.

Manual defragmenting was useful 10 years ago but it's no longer a legitimate concern.
