Can you tell if pirated software was used / Captivate 6
#1
I have to use Captivate 6 to create a project for a client. If I use a pirated version, is that info somehow embedded in the file? I don't want to create a product for a professional client if there's a way to see that I used unlicensed software. It would just be easier, because I don't have the licensed version on all the computers I use. If I export the project, is the fact that it was created with pirated software evident in the file?

It shouldn't be, my brother had this problem when he was creating some stuff, when he was audited by his client he just presented the valid and licensed software to them.

As Captivate 6's current "work-around" is getting the "frozen trial" via patching the amtlib.dll file/s and editing the hosts. At worst, there may be some sort of embedded info to say that that your work was created on a trial version of Captivate 6.

If you downloaded your version of Captivate 6 from a green/pink skull uploader. Then more than likely if not positively, they got their copy direct from the Adobe website (Downloaded a trial) and just added the modified amtlib.dll when creating their torrents.
IMO i wouldn't worry about it.

Cool, thank you guys. I just wanted to make sure, because I was reading about watermarks or such being embedded in produced files, and if that was happening, it wouldn't be worth risking my professional career over.
