Buying a TV and need insight
#1
I've been doing a ton of research on two televisions I want to purchase. The Sony Z9D and Samsung KS9800. I bought a Sony W650D and wasn't impressed with the quality. I returned it and got a Samsung J6200. The J6200 is pretty impressive. I usually use my TV to connect my laptop or stream videos on a USB hard drive. The Sony TV and Samsung I had bought had different picture quality when I played videos on a USB hard drive.

Using a USB hard drive on the Sony W650D wasn't great. It was 1080i with 24fps. Using a USB hard drive on the Samsung J6200 was better. It was 1080p with 60fps. I'm wondering if the 4K televisions I want to purchase will be worth it. I was told at Best Buy the picture quality will be enhanced, but not so much. I hear there isn't that many 4K content out there anyway.

I've read some discussions online and I came across that Sony is the best one. I haven't found any negative feedback other than someone doing negative reviews on YouTube to not purchase Sony TV's. Just mainly someone ranting rather than give actual knowledge by comparison. I've heard good and bad reviews on Samsung. Specifically to the KS9800 model, they say it's not that great because of the black levels. I was considering the Samsung KS8000 or KS9000. I'm not really a fan on curved TV's. But the KS9800 doesn't have a flat panel.

I can't find comparisons for using a USB hard drive on a Sony Z9D and Samsung KS9800. If anyone can give me feedback or advice, that would be awesome!
