Helmut Walcha has recorded the Well Tempered Clavier twice. The second recording is this:
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH
Das Wohltemperierte Clavier
The Well-tempered Clavier:
Teil / Part 1, BWV 846-869
Teil / Part 2, BWV 870-893
Helmut Walcha
Int. Release 01 Jan. 1975
0289 477 7208 8 ADD AX4
ARCHIV Produktion
... unfortunately available as mp3 only - in which case I might just as well listen to my old vinyl (I have no equipement to rip it at all, let alone rip it properly).
A cd transfer had been briefly available from dg france (and I think also from universal-japan), years ago, but I never managed to get hold of it.
It is one of greatest Bach interpretations ever.
Does any one have it? Even a decent flac rip from the old LPs would do.
Many, many thanks.
