Anyone use rideshare stuff?

Anyone use rideshare services like lyft über or sidecar craigslist Etc
Do people still use taxis as much now that theres so many rideshare communities

Anyone here ever hitch hike?Or does anyone here carpool?

I used to pick up hitch hikers all the time when i was living in Africa. Around here in the US you don't see people even trying to get rides anymore normally just walking along the road.

I have considered picking people up before but in the US we live in such a fast pace world normally don't.

I do know alot about Uber (will not go into more detail) and they are a massive industry, so someone is using them ALOT. Is it going to be completely safe? No never because just because you can pass background screening checks and you have never wrecked a car doesn't mean someone will be safe. Nothing in life is 100% safe but i think they do a pretty good job in making it as safe as possible.

I guess kinda related, i know people who host for coach surfing, basically people who sign up get screened and allow random people to crash at their place. I want to some day get with some friends and doing it sometime but with work it is hard to find time when everyone is free.
