All my .flac files have turned white
#1
Has this happened to anyone? My nephew had my computer over the weekend and now I see my .flac files have all turned white. They still play, but I am concerned. My guess is that either he has deleted a plug-in or I have a virus.

Does anybody recognize this symptom?

More likely is that he has changed the default media player associated with the .flac extension (which would be somewhat rude, but harmless, and easily reversible).

What happens when you double-click on the files?

What used to happen when you double-clicked on them?

I did delete an iTunes folder recently. I never double-clicked on the files in the past, but I did change the default player long ago because I don't like iTunes. It cannot be that because in was months ago.

My md5sum and fingerprint files still look the same. xACT affects their color. Come to think of it, I did update xACT just recently. Maybe that's all it is.

The main question is can you still play the files the way you played them before you lent your nephew your computer?

If the answer is "yes" then I'm pretty sure you don't have anything to worry about.
