This is at least my third, or even fourth account here. I do not upload any garbage, or post any offensive nonsense.

My problem with the login script saying I have an invalid email address.
I do not log into any site that has problems with the cyber-gestapo with a permanent email address traceable to me, nor use a non-VPN connection.

On my own site I only require email verification because that is the only way to combat spammers (along with some other tools).

Is there a way to maintain persistence with just a simple temproary initial verification, or are there some subtleties I am missing here?

I know the admins do not have access to the site code, but not sure if the admin section is accessible where email verification *should* be optional. Nor am i assuming they would want to change the arrngement.

But with all the sporging going on, the current system does not really stop the scummers.

Don't understand what you're suggesting. Some people use MS mail, Google mail, anonimail, even obscure little countries email.
Maybe you should PM a mod with details. Also, posting in "Account Issues" (a private forum only you and the mods can see) is better.

Short answer is no.

Longer answer is that if you are trying to use disposable e-mail services, many have been banned due to abuse.
