Just curious, have you ever heard the commentary tracks they've done on the website "F This Movie"?

They usually do horror films for Halloween but they've also done "Silent Night, Deadly Night" for Christmas. http://www.fthismovie.net/2011/10/f-this...ntary.html

When you're done with RLM, any chance you might sync their tracks, too?

Thanks for the recommendation, first I've heard of them.
Looks good though, seconding your request.

Anybody else annoyed by how little they know about the movies they are doing the commentary on?

It was a bit jarring at first, but it became apparent that one guy knows a fair deal and the others are just there for the jokes. But I got used to it, as it felt kind of like a play-by-play and color-commentator approach to it.

My only real complaint about RLM would be that it's considerably harder to follow the movie (even with subtitles added) with their commentary. The main draw of Rifftrax/MST3k for me is that it's easy to follow both the movie and the riffing. (Especially with subtitles, extra thank yous to everyone who adds subtitle tracks with their releases. It makes a world of difference for me.) Still, I have enjoyed the RLM commentaries enough to warrant watching their others at least once.

Thank you, OP, and you best stop eyeing my lemon drink.

Yeah, the RLM commentaries are part traditional commentary, part riff. They review new movies on their "Half in the Bag" show, older movies on "Re:view" and watch and comment on bad movies on "Wheel of the Worst," plus they make films themselves, so they are knowledgeable about filmmaking. I don't always agree with their opinions, but I find them pretty insightful and funny.

They are definitely knowledgeable and insightful. I checked out the one for Masters of the Universe and learned a lot about Cannon Films, which I had no idea made a crapload of... well, crap. Fuckin' TONS of it. And quite a few I actually know... their recommendation for Electric Boogaloo: The Wild Untold Story of Cannon Films got me to check it out, and that was really good. Can't say I'm disappointed with anything from RLM so far, even if the Rogue One commentary felt more like a "Let's bash Star Wars" party than a commentary. XD

Same here, I watched the "Electric Boogaloo" doc after hearing about it from their commentary as well. I like Rogue One, but I have to agree with their criticisms. Basically a big budget fan film (but still enjoyable to watch).
