500 Server Error for Uploads Seems to Be Fixed
#1
I just uploaded a discography with a decent sized .torrent file and a lot of files and folders.  Went up without a hitch.

Word on IRC is the 500 error has been fixed.

Praise jebus.

Yup, same happenning at my end. Just uploaded a 22 GB torrent at 115 kb torrent file (4 mb size).

If this is stable and continuous (more than 2 months) it's Great Foking Non Fake News! :-D.

I picked up the hint on IRC that the 500 Internal Error was fixed. I have also checked other torrents and seem to see that this error has been resolved.

Time to do an upload spree.Smile

You said it, mate!  Smile

I would like to add that all my 9 uploads went through very quickly at first go. No coughs. It was a very satisfying experience!  Big Grin

Yes, it seems to work now. I could upload a 15 gb tv season, the .torrent size was about 24 kb (16 MB piece size).

I see big torrents (30gb+) are popping up, before it was not possible (limit was around 22-24gb for 32MB piece size).

So everything is back to normal Wink

I was wondering if Winston wants us to use bigger piece sizes for our torrent files, maybe to help save server ressources?

I'm making my torrent files, as I've always done them, at 4 mb piece size, but I could easily give'em a 8 mb size or even a 16 mb size.....

I just tried to go to the Pirate Bay upload page several times, but simply get "error" in the upper left corner. Hopefully this is just a temporary situation caused by too many people entering new uploads.

I tried again to upload a new torrent (about nine hours after my last message) and it did successfully upload! Hallelujah. Like everyone else, I have been waiting at least two months to upload new stuff to The Pirate Bay. Hopefully this kind of moratorium won't happen again.

I confirm that the 500 server error in uploads seems to be fixed

As for me, I just uploaded a torrent with a movie, the size of the torrent I created was 14KB (above 8KB)

And then without using the piece size trick, the torrent was uploaded normally without getting any 500 server error

I am sure that we are somehow blessed  Big Grin
