![]() ![]() Title: The Thing Director: John Carpenter Release Date: 25 June 1982 (USA) Language: English Runtime: 109 min Genre: Horror | Mystery | Sci-Fi Color: Color IMDb rating: 8.2/10 70,825 votes Link 1: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084787/ Studio: Universel Language: English Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Sample Video: yes Cast: Kurt Russell as R.J. When the helicopter is destroyed and the passenger's are killed by accident, the dog is let into the base and the American's begin to wonder what has actually happened. The helicopter is discovered to be of Norweigan make, and probably linked to the Norweigan base not too far from their own. Helicopter pilot J.R MacReady offers to travel to the Norweigan base and find out what has happened. On arrival, he finds that the place has been totally destroyed. He also discovers a mangled body that looks as though it was once that of a person, which he brings back with him to study. It is only then that the clues begin to add up; the dog morphs horribly into a strange creature that attacks the researchers. They manage to fight it off, but the base's doctor has come to a conclusion: an alien with the power to transform and take the appearance of anybody else is amongst them. Who is infected already, and who can be trusted? J.R MacReady sets out to find the answers to exactly that. ![]() Format: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Format/Info: Advanced Video Codec Format profile: High@L4.0 Format settings, CABAC: Yes Format settings, ReFrames: 5 frames Codec ID: avc1 Codec ID/Info: Advanced Video Coding Duration: 1h 48mn Bit rate mode: Variable Bit rate: 1980 Kbps Maximum bit rate: 7733 Kbps Screen Resolution: 1376x768 Display aspect ratio: 16:9 Frame rate mode: Constant Frame rate: 23.976 fps Resolution: 24 bits Colorimetry: 4:2:0 Scan type: Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame): 0.078 Stream size: 1.50 GiB (83%) ![]() Format: mp4a - MPEG-4 AAC LC Format/Info: Advanced Audio Codec Format version: Version 4 Format profile: LC Format settings, SBR: No Codec ID: 40 Duration: 1h 48mn Bit rate mode: Variable Bit rate: 384 Kbps Maximum bit rate: 523 Kbps Channel(s): 6 channels Channel positions: Front: L C R, Rear: L R, LFE Sampling rate: 48.0 KHz Resolution: 16 bits Stream size: 304 MiB (16%) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you all enjoy. RE: IceBane's Torrents
![]() Which is part of. ![]() Here is a bit of info about "The Jack Ryan Collection" HD DVD. Early copies of the highly anticipated release found their way into consumers hands. Fans who were initially delighted to snap up a sneak peek began noticing something strange as they dived into the four-disc set. Despite the "Special Collector's Edition" label clearly stamped across the front cover of each disc in the set, and a list of bonus features promoted on the box art (including audio commentaries, featurettes, and more), no one was able to find the advertised supplementary material on any of the actual discs. As these reports began to surface, fan reaction was swift and predominantly negative, with most wondering how a mistake like this could slip by the studio. ![]() Title: The Hunt for Red October Director: John McTiernan Release Date: 2 March 1990 (USA) Language: English Runtime: 134 min Genre: Action | Adventure | Thriller Color: Color IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 52,412 votes Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099810/ Studio: Paramount Language: English Subtitles: English, English SDH+, French, Spanish Sample Video: yes Please Note: The Subtitle SRT "English SDH+" referes to ""SDH" which is an American term the DVD industry introduced. It is an acronym for "Subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing", and refers to regular subtitles in the original language where important non-dialog audio has been added, as well as speaker identification, useful when the viewer cannot otherwise visually tell who is saying what. The only significant difference for the user between "SDH" subtitles and "closed captions" is their appearance: SDH subtitles usually are displayed with the same proportional font used for the translation subtitles on the DVD; however, closed captions are displayed as white text on a black band, which blocks a large portion of the view. Closed captioning is falling out of favor as many users have no difficulty reading SDH subtitles, which are text with contrast outline. In addition, DVD subtitles can specify many colors, on the same character: primary, outline, shadow, and background. This allows subtitlers to display subtitles on a usually translucent band for easier reading, however, this is rare, since most subtitles use an outline and shadow instead, in order to block a smaller portion of the picture. Closed captions may still supersede DVD subtitles, since many SDH subtitles present all of the text centered, while closed captions usually specify position on the screen: centered, left align, right align, top, etc. This is very helpful for speaker identification and overlapping conversation. Some SDH subtitles do have positioning, but it is not as common." Plot: A new, technologically-superior Soviet sub, the Red October, is heading for the U.S. coast under the command of Marko Ramius. The American government thinks Ramius is planning to attack. A lone CIA analyst has a different idea: he thinks Ramius is planning to defect, but he has only a few hours to find him and prove it--because the entire Russian naval and air commands are trying to find him, too.
