Well....yes.
When old Biff goes back to the past and gives the almanac to young biff, causes a change in the time-line... so when he returns to the future he should have appeared in the alternate future (the "bad" future)

Anyway, these things are common in movies with time-travel-stuff...

The planet of the apes as more rare things. I never understood it.
