No picture only audio on download

Hi can anyone please help, I've downloaded a movie using pirate bay and utorrent it's my first go and thought all went smooth until i found it in my downloads and windows media player only played the audio and them silly patterns you get. Does anyone no where i've gone wrong cheers bigbob.

Also, generally speaking the reason that audio or visual doesn't work is due to not having the appropriate codec file. I'd recommend getting a codec pack like CCCP or K-Lite - that should solve most of the problems.
