Help with AoE 3 Torrent?
Not sure if this is the right place to put it but I've been wondering if anyone knows how to play online with an AoE 3 torrent. I downloaded the game from here and then patched it. After that I fixed the patch with this download and everything seemed to work fine. I could play offline without any problems, and then go into GameRanger and host/join games. However once we tried starting the game I got a message saying "Version Mismatch" which apparently means that I don't have the right patch. However this doesn't make sense since before I even patched the game it gave me a message saying that I couldn't join/host a game without the patch, but now I can host/join games so I figure that the patch isn't the problem. Can anyone help me out with this, or is there no way to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

Most online game providers are like the original hoster, requires the latest patch which is not 1.04. But I would check with GameRanger and see which patch they want you to have.

Yeah those patches don't help me at all, but I remember when I first tried GameRanger without any patch at all it directed me to the 1.0.4 patch. Today I found out about the 1.0.5 patch for Mac, which is the latest one. Some people on GameRanger have it and some people don't, so I guess that could be the problem. Thanks for the help though.
