h33t MP
Hi to all, i received today this MP from h33t tracker

Code:
TPB (pirate bay) trackers have been taken offline by a court order. They may not return for weeks if ever.
Therefore your torrent will not work and we must delete it.

I strongly urge you to upload your torrent again using some good working trackers.

http://www.h33t.com:3310/announce   is a very stable tracker and you are very welcome to use it.

Just be sure you follow the correct protocol.

1. h33t tracker must be first tracker in your tracker list.
2. You must include the "tracked_by_h33t_com.txt" file in your upload folder.

Also please review the site standards here :  http://fr33sp33k.h33t.com/index.php?topic=90.0 for further information.

If you need any help or have any questions, just send me a pm.  I'm here to help you.

Code:
They may not return for weeks if ever.
Is this true? Or is only a way to pubblicize here tracker?

Can someone give me more info?

Thank you, sorry if the section it's wrong

RE: h33t MP
Long story short in 2 points:

1. TPB trackers are down and may not return.
TPB is adding the openbittorrent announce URL to all torrents uploaded on TPB to make up for original TPB trackers being offline.

Code:
http://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce

2. What Lacademon is suggesting once again is not to use any TPB trackers on top in the tracker list when uploading, or better yet not use them at all because, when scraping the torrent on H33t, it will display 0 seeds. And as usual, Lacademon is promoting his "reliable" H33T tracker and encouraging uploaders to upload internally.

.

RE: h33t MP
room101bellboy is correct, except for one minor detail. Port 80 is the default port for the http protocol, and it is not required to specify the port number if it happens to be the default one. The proper tracker URL to use can therefore simply be stated this way:

http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce

Support is not provided over PM System. Use forums at all times.

RE: h33t MP
has a reason for TPB's trackers being offline been told and I just missed it? I assume its to make it a less viable target in court but I'm just making guesses

But on the up side you did make my day and i thank you for that

edit: on topic: for a list of trackers/sites

http://thebeehive.info/p/tlist.htm

edit 2: only pick 1/2 of them to use at a time
edit 3: list contains ~150 sites/trackers

<[Ube1]> I'd rather not try using TPB again right now... I almost broke my keyboard last time.

It's true and it's stated dozen of times by the mods here.

There was a talk a few months back that h33t would scrape the primary tracker (for external uploads) and if it was down it would move on to the next working tracker.
AFAIK this isn't implemented yet. If you use TPB tracker as the primary one, your torrents will be indexed as dead.

Use the tracker room101 mentioned or start uploading internal there.
The pm you got is slightly wrong, you don't have to include the
"tracked_by_h33t_com.txt" file any longer

Encoded by VLiS <-- This is how you get involved. Share it with everybody.

RE: h33t MP
yes..External torrents on H33T with TPB's Tracker will show 0 seeds and 0 leech cause it cannot scrape the tracker cause it's offline. Therefore you need to upload torrent with h33t's tracker on the top but you can still add tpb's trackers
http://tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce

SHARING IS CARING
