Using a legitimate Windows 7 disc with an activation crack.
Does anyone know if it can be done?

I have legitimate disc images from being on the MSDN (and have for quite a while), but I'm repairing a PC for someone and was wondering if I could use an activation crack with a "normal" disc image downloaded straight from MS so I can install 7 using a "bad" product key instead of the key MS assigned me. I mean I've activated the key MS gave me on 12 machines so far, and they (MS) told me there is not an activation limit on the MSDN image, but I'm kind of leery about using my MSDN key on a machine that isn't "mine" you know.

(the reason I ask is I already have DVDs burnt of what I grabbed off of the MSDN website so I wouldn't need to redownload a copy from TPB, and I'm all out of DVDs Smile )

I have used a legit disc from MSDN MANY times on peoples computers that I repaired. Several more times on my various machines and I reinstall my OS almost every 6 months. Literally 50 or so times have I used it and been able to upgrade to SP3.
But since you are talking about 7 and I am talking XP this is likely a useless post.

I have to ask; is your butt unable to dislocate itself from the chair it is on? Is the DVD store many miles away? Tongue

Go get some DVD's (You can use a DVD-RW as a quick fix if you need to)

Nah, I dislocate my butt pretty much daily (but THAT's a thread for the Void, lol) the problem is I'm a cheap Communist Jew.

Literally.

Picture a human blend of Mr. Krabs, a stereotypically cheap Jew, a Communist who has a problem with the existence of currency, multiply that persons cheapness by over 9000, and then you would have a guy who is about half as cheap as I am.
