I'll check those programs out also. I use Jet Audio to play media files. I know it isn't as good as a lot of the other players out there, but I like the simple format and being able to find everything easily. I also have VLC, WMP12, WMP Classic, Divx player, Gom player, Itunes, Quicktime Pro, KM Player, Total Media Theater 3, and Winamp.

I know I can set the priorities of the apps and cores, but to be honest, it's not something I normally do or have done in 13 years of building computers.
I just let Windows handle that. I'm not even sure how many cores UT3 uses, but transcoding just seems so intensive on the pc, it would be nice to do that and play UT3 maxed out at the same time. Or at least Ultimate Bet. lol

i am using AutoGK for classic XviD/mp3 DVDrips

is there a similar tool for AVC/AAC riping ?
what app do you recommend ?

does any of this tools have an option to set the size limit of the output file (e.x 700 mb)?

sure, 2pass encode with predefined size is a must have for any decent tool.
