Leawo for Importing TV Shows
#1
I found Leawo to be about the best option for importing video generally and TV shows are tough only because of the number of discs.

Law & Order spans 20 seasons which is brutal for importing into MP4 video format. Leawo imports to MP4 which is the most compatible with media players and that includes Windows, OS X and Linux.

DVD box sets are tricky due to the limited capacity of the media. BD TV shows are still comparatively scarce at present but over time this will change.

MKV does not work with iTunes media so I do not like it at all. iTunes can keep the media library on a large NAS easily.
I use Apple TV like many so I am happy to have a massive media library. MP4 and M4V are typical for Apple. I suggest using 18TB disks which are not shingled so that a 24 disk NAS can be stable.

This is my 2 bit worth.

I noticed Leawo does not like widescreen DVD discs. I have complained to them but they have not fixed it over the years I have used them.

Leawo is fine for BD media which seems to work fine. It can even get rid DRM headaches.

Leawo updated their software so at least that problem is done.

Law & Order DVD is fairly straight forward. Streets of San Francisco is also straight forward.

Star Trek TNG BD is far from complicated with 3-4 languages and go knows how many subtitles, seems that the first attempt to import BD S1D1 was not as expected but that is due to the complex menu
